Aerospace Sciences and Engineering
The Aerospace Sciences and Engineering area encompasses a wide range of exciting topics that seek to broaden the horizons of aeronautical and astronautical knowledge. Our faculty contribute to this goal in a variety of ways, including aerodynamics, aerostructures, aeromaterials, extraterrestrial habitats, and novel propulsion systems, to name a few. Utilizing several unique onsite facilities, including the Center for Computational Design, the Engineering Robotics Laboratory, the Emil Buehler Aerospace Laboratory, and the Net-Zero Wind Energy Test Center, along with the Rutgers Hypersonic Expansion Tube, Rutgers is a leader within the Aerospace community in the State of New Jersey, preparing the future workforce for our industrial and government collaborators.
