Mission and Vision

The curriculum in mechanical and aerospace engineering at Rutgers places emphasis on a thorough understanding of the fundamental principles and engineering methods of analysis and reasoning. The curriculum is comprehensive and lays the foundation for more advanced scientific and technical research, establishing the industry leaders of tomorrow.

Our graduates are technically competent professionals prepared for a globally competitive and diverse workplace bringing with them the highest of ethical standards and an ability to communicate effectively, work in collaboration and apply a multi-disciplinary approach to problem solving.

Accreditation

SoE's Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering programs are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission (ABET) based on consideration of the programs' educational objectives and outcomes, ensuring our programs meets the quality standards that produce graduates prepared to enter a global workforce.
