MAE Senior Michael Nitzsche awarded graduate fellowship from Tau Beta Pi

Michael Nitzsche, a senior in the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering department, has been awarded a 2019-2020 graduate fellowship from Tau Beta Pi, the engineering honor society. Tau Beta Pi is the world’s largest engineering society and provides more financial assistance to engineering students than any other engineering society in the world. Tau Beta Pi Fellowships are awarded on the basis of high scholarship, campus leadership and service, and promise of future contributions to the engineering profession. The fellowship will support his graduate studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the Department of Mechanical Engineering this fall. Michael has conducted research since 2016 in the lab of Professor Jonathan P. Singer, where he was a New Jersey Space Grant Consortium Academic Year Fellow in 2017-2018 and completed his J.J. Slade Honors Thesis in Spring 2019.
