Dr. Jennifer Lynch-Branzoi is happy to announce that her summer high school students from the Governor’s School of New Jersey Program in Engineering & Technology had their paper accepted at the 2022 MIT Conference. The paper title is "Effect of Layer Thickness and Orientation of 3D Printed Parts on the Mechanical Properties".

Professor Stephen Tse has been awarded a grant as Principal Investigator (PI)  from the Army Research Office (ARO) for a 3-year project entitled, "Synthesis of Novel Energetic Graphene-Stabilized-Metal Fluoropolymer Composites and Study of their Interfaces and Reactions."  He has also been awarded a grant as PI from the National Science Foundation (NSF) for a 3-year project entitled, "Reacting Precursor/Solvent Microdroplets in Confined 2-D Microflows for Tailored Nanomaterials Synthesis."

X-Bai Research Group has received a new award from the “Dynamic Data and Information Processing” program at AFOSR, with the title "Intelligent Observing Uncooperative Space Objects. The goal of the project is to develop theoretical and computational methodologies that enable intelligent decisions from cooperative satellites on how to observe non-cooperative space objects.

Professor Yuebin Guo, Henry Rutgers Professor of Advanced Manufacturing, has been recognized by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) Albert M. Sargent Progress Award for his seminal contributions to the development, understanding, and control of process−surface integrity−functionality relationships in a broad range of manufacturing processes and data-enabled adaptive manufacturing systems. The Albert M. Sargent Progress Award is the SME International Honor Award and recognizes significant accomplishments in the field of manufacturing processes, methods, or systems.

Evan Nastarowicz (MAE ’23) was awarded a New Jersey Space Grant Consortium (NJSGC) Summer Internship to pursue research on the scaling up 3D printing of thermoset materials in the lab of Prof. Rajiv Malhotra. NJSGC is NASA’s educational arm in New Jersey for higher education, charged with preparing students to become members of the technically literate workforce which NASA and the aerospace industry need.
