Dr. Titovich is a research scientist in the Structural Acoustics and Target Strength group at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) in Bethesda, MD. He earned his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from Rutgers University, in 2009, 2011 and 2015, respectively, in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. At NSWCCD, he is the Structural Acoustics Research Scientist leading several large projects for the Columbia-class submarine program as well as others. He is also the lead on certain aspects of modelling related to future submarine designs. Dr. Titovich remains active in basic research through ONR funded grants for developing metamaterials as well as other topics. His primary research interests include structural acoustics, acoustic metamaterials, airborne noise, and novel actuators and sensors. He is the author of four patents on a fiber optic sensor, an extremely directional microphone, and acoustic materials. Dr. Titovich is a full member of the Acoustical Society of America, where he regularly chairs sessions at and sits on technical and standards committees. He is also a recent recipient of the prestigious Command “Technical Excellence” award.
